The Dormer range of E119 taps produce British Standard Pipe – G series threads and are available in sizes from 1/8 inch to 3 inches. They are supplied either as a single tapered tap or a set of two taps (serial taps) to be used one after the other in the same hole to produce a cleaner more accurate thread, and are ideal for threading tough materials including steels and other heat resistant materials. They come with a bright finish which makes sure the cutting edge of the tool does not get clogged with chips from the work piece and are manufactured from High Speed steel which will extend the tool life and improve performance. Manufactured to meet the German Institute for Standardization, the E119 taps also have a straight flute which means they can be used to thread either through holes (all the way through the work piece) or blind holes (which stop part way through the work piece).
